At the end of August, Growlab participated in the 100th-year Festival of Tra Vinh Makapuno coconut and the Vu Lan Thang Hoi Week of Cau Ke District, which took place from August 25 to August 31, 2024. This was a trade and agricultural fair with a variety of products on display, along with a culinary space and interesting cultural and artistic activities. With more than 43,000 visitors, this was an opportunity for Growlab to approach and connect with local farmers. Here, Growlab had the opportunity to meet with the leaders of Cau Ke District and discuss cooperation opportunities in the near future.

Attending the exhibition, Growlab has introduced the latest innovation of tissue-cultured Makapuno seedlings, marketed as MultipunoTM, being one of the few institution applying biotechnology to seedling production and the only unit successfully propagating wax coconut in the laboratory. With this advanced method, the finished seedlings have consistent quality characteristics and are similar to the mother tree that was initially selected. At the same time, Growlab was honored to be one of the booths to be broadcast on Tra Vinh television to introduce its products.
After participating in the fair, Growlab continues to promote research and production to meet the demand for growing quality Makapuno and solve the current shortage of supply.
