Makapuno is a renowned coconut variety from Tra Vinh province that produces fruits with thick butter-like copra, rich flavor, and high nutritional value. This special coconut can be  directly consumed or processed  into various products, generating significant profits for farmers. High-quality seedlings are crucial for Makapuno cultivation, as fruit-propagated seedlings yield premium fruits at low rate (0–20%).
